After the earrings, I decided to do something a little trickier and moved onto necklaces. It took a little while to get used to the fiddly world of necklace making, especially when you have fingers like sausages and coffee shakes! I bought the silver chain in meters, rather than ones that were already made up, therefore had to figure out how to use jewellery findings and such, which I must admit, did drive me a little crazy at the time, and resulted in a few nips from the pliers. In total, I made four necklaces; two blue mountains, and two purple mountains. I tried to keep to the same design and shape with them all, but again, without moulds, I did find this to be quite tricky! I was really happy with the final pieces, and with the addition of the gold paint, I decided to jazz up two of the necklaces , as shown below!
I was quite happy with the way my first pieces turned out, and i'm really excited to see how this new venture progresses, and if any one else likes these as much as I do! Keep your eyes peeled in our gallery to see the other items I made this weekend, and any future clay adventures that I embark upon :)
