A few weeks ago, Joe (my better half) managed to snag us a couple of tickets to the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust's 70th Birthday at the University of York. To celebrate in style, the Trust had arranged for none other than Sir David Attenborough to be the guest speaker. As you can imagine, we both jumped at the chance to see Mr Attenborough in person, as he himself has just celebrated his 90th Birthday this year!
His passion and commitment in his speech, made me want to get involved, and do something to give back towards an amazing charity. Once a month, Joe volunteers at our local Wildlife Trust Nature Reserve, helping to maintain the grounds, and making them more habitable for certain animals. Unfortunately for me, i'm unable to help volunteer, due to my old lady hips and bones, (I struggle to do a lot of lifting, walking and day to day tasks), which means that the volunteering part isn't something i'm able to do! I felt bad that I couldn't do something to help the Reserve, and wanted to put some of my skills into my own sort of contribution.
Your good deed contribution will help towards an amazing charity, and will help to support animals and reserves around the country (plus you will look awesome with an adorable new pin badge!). So, if you love nature, and love even cuter badges, then help this amazing cause, and have a peep at our Wildlife Scout Badge collection!
