The super lovely Leona!
This month for our ThriftBox Loves post, we are mega crushing on Leona Thrift-ola and her amazing business Lucky Dip Club! Now what is this club, I hear you asking? Well, every month, subscribers or one time buyers, can purchase from her, a wonderful box of top secret goodies. In this box, are a variety of handmade items each inspired with a single theme. Each month, the theme will change, and so will the treasures inside! Her previous boxes have included the themes of Lucky Diner, giving gifts of a beautiful Golden
Donut necklace, to a Sundae printed tea towel. Magic Forest, with a googly eyed owl
brooch, to a DIY Fox Sleep Mask. Oh, and not forgetting the upcoming one for November: Welcome To The Circus (which is still a secret!).
Now, I'm not going to lie. I hate surprises. Cannot stand the things. Christmas and birthdays transform me into an anxious wreck . But there is a spark of pure excitement from receiving super cute, vintage wonders from the Postie at the end of each month. There was a time that the only thing I looked forward to at the end of the month was payday, but how those times have changed! Leona not only gets hundreds of people feeling the same as I do, but she somehow manages to make each box feel personal, with a small note included just for you, it really does feel like you're getting beautiful gifts from a close friend.

Octobers Box - Lucky Diner

When I first heard of the Lucky Dip Club, I must say, the first thing I thought of was what a brilliant idea, and the second, where do I sign up? I was a little apprehensive when I bought my first little box, as I really didn't know what to expect. Id seen and heard a lot of amazing things from previous customers, so I was super giddy but the usual unwelcoming dislike of surprises, did wriggle back into my mind! But coming home that day, to see the parcel on my doormat, and the thrill of opening a package, made especially for me, was a great feeling. The items inside, so perfectly detailed and lovely, seemed to be made just for me.
Leona has done a wonderful job in creating a business solely on brilliant snail mail gifts, and has definitely reignited my excitement for surprises. I would recommend her to anyone who wishes to receive parcels filled with personalised wonders at the end of the month, or to a fan of the whimsical and vintage goodies. Oh, and in the perfect words of Leona herself "Join the happy mail revolution!"
