Wednesday Wishlist - Harry Potter

8/11/2017

Since I came back from Japan, one of the things I've constantly been thinking about is how awesome Harry Potter World, at Universal Studios was. The giddiness I felt that day was like nothing I've felt before. John Williams' amazing score played all around Hogsmede and Hogwarts Castle, snow covered all of the wonky roofs of the buildings, and everywhere you looked, someone had a frothing cup of Butter Beer and a wide grin.
The merchandise was also brilliant. I bought a Hufflepuff scarf (Go Hufflepuff!), a beautiful Hogwarts Crested jacket, a Butter Beer mug, and several gifts for my friends. I couldn't get enough of everything that the little shops were selling - but my purse certainly did!

It got me thinking about all of the independently made HP gifts out there, and I knew that I would need to prowl the depths of Etsy and the internet for this weeks Wednesday Wishlist!
First up, is this amazing Hogwarts art print by
WonderWallArt. I absolutely love the art style of this print, and the colours used, especially in the illumination of the castle! It reminds me of the old fashioned railway posters in the UK, and there is something so nostalgic about this style of poster for me.

As you may know, I have a little addiction to collection and creating lapel pin badges, so I couldn't create a Wednesday Wishlist without copious amounts of amazing pins!
The super kawaii 2" Wizard In Flight enamel pin from Crescent Creepers is just delightful, and hands down one of my favorites that I have come across whilst on my search. The Kewpie version of Harry and Hedwig is a wonderful interpretation of the original characters. The bright colours and small details add to the super cuteness of this little guy.

Now I couldn't do a HP pin shout out without mentioning my lovely Instagram pal, Hannah Hitchman. Spanning both the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beast franchises, Hannah's pins are up there with my all time favourites. I particularly love her Hogwarts House pins, which have a subtle and adorable way of showing your house pride.

One of my favourite graphic designers, Katie Abey, is the creator of this hilarious Snapechat neon pink coaster. I recently bought one of these for a friend, and the quality, brightness and hilarity of them are just perfect. Katie also creates other Harry Potter goodies, including postcards, keyrings and button pins. Her pun-tastic, brightly coloured items always make me smile!
My final item on today's wishlist is a bundle of utter joy! Claire from The Little Shop of Lathers, creates incredible bath bombs, lip balms and creams that are out of this world. I recently purchased her Golden Snitch (packaged to perfection may I add) and Hufflepuff bath bombs, and the smells were amazing. They made my skin super soft, and with the addition of the shimmer in the Snitch bath bomb, I came out of the bath feeling fabulous. I originally didn't want to use them because they made my bathroom smell so good! Her items are constantly on my wishlist, and I will definitely be spoiling myself this Christmas with her other Harry Potter inspired goodies (I'm looking at you Butter Beer lip balm!!), as well as other themed items she produces.
